Proud fall protection partner of QBM/SFS
Since the launch of Access North Structures, fall protection has become an inherent component within our services. So, we’re delighted to announce that this has led to us being chosen as a partner of leading arrest and restraint equipment developer QBM/SFS.
Established over ten years ago, SFS has been engineering its fall protection systems to meet increasingly rigorous health and safety obligations ever since. Its leading range offers safeguarding for anyone involved with working at height – from roofing contractors and architects to building contractors and safety installation companies like us!
This collaboration means that we are now an approved reseller and supplier of the Soter2 system – a complete fall protection solution that offers both versatility and superior levels of safety.
Having undergone rigorous testing at QBM/SFS’s state-of-the-art facilities, the fall protection system has also been independently assessed and certified as compliant to all current EU regulations and standards, including EN795:2012, CEN/TS16415:2013 multi-user technical specification and ACR[M]002:2009-(Part2) Testing of Roof Anchors on Roof Systems.
The Soter2 fall arrest and restraint system fulfils a wide range of work at height requirements and is suitable for use on an array of different roof types, including industrial pitched metal, corrugated metal, built-up flat and metal standing seam roofing. The system is additionally suited to vertical and overhead applications, and by collaborating with SFS, we can provide bespoke fall protection solutions for particularly complex or out-of-the-ordinary projects.
Along with suitability for these roofing systems, the Soter2 range also comprises a high-spec personal protection equipment range, which includes horizontal line system attachment devices, safety harnesses, restraint and fall arrest lanyards, adjustable ropes and rope grabs.
By their nature, fall protection systems are exposed to the elements and have to be designed to withstand all conditions. Corrosion leads to inhibited equipment performance, which can have devastating results when it comes to the safety of individuals working at height.
All components within the Soter2 system are made from high-grade austenitic stainless steel, which provides a lifespan that is equal to, or even beyond, that of the building itself.
Superior service offering
Our partnership with QBM/SFS doesn’t just mean that we supply and install the Soter2 systems – we also provide the following services:
- Surveying – Carrying out site visits ensures we fully understand what is required of the system and can recommend the most appropriate products and installation methods.
- Designing – We have a full working knowledge of the system portfolio, meaning we can design solutions ranging from full access to guided work positioning lines, depending on clients’ needs.
- Quoting – Each project is different, so we provide in-house estimates and quotes on a case-by-case basis.
- Training – Once systems are installed, we can deliver on-site training to teach end users how to utilise the equipment safely.
