Proudly celebrating success at the Examiner Business Awards 2019
We are delighted and very proud that, having been shortlisted in the Examiner Business Awards 2019 earlier in the year, we were selected as winners of the ‘SME of the Year (Up to 20 Employees)’ category at a sell-out black tie event, hosted by veteran BBC Look North presenter, Harry Gration.
The Examiner Business Awards 2019 highlight the hard work and dedication that Kirklees businesses put in day in and day out. The SME of the Year (up to 20 employees) award, in particular, is an opportunity for smaller businesses to be recognised for the impact that they have on the economy, both locally and nationally, creating wealth, employment and much more besides.
Access North Ltd’s founders, husband and wife team Berenice & Daniel Northcott attended the night of celebrations at the John Smiths Stadium, along with the company’s junior administrator, Naomi Collins. The team was up against stiff competition in their category from Sheards Accountancy and Fishtank Agency, so when the winner was announced there were runners up but most definitely no losers.

Wayne Ankers, editor of ExaminerLive and the Huddersfield Daily Examiner, said the standard of entries this year had raised the bar yet again. Mr Ankers, who was one of the judges, said: “The quality of entries never ceases to amaze me and we seem to go up a level every year.
“Huddersfield and the wider Kirklees area has some great businesses and it’s a privilege to find out more about them and to give credit where it’s due.”
